Jessica began her career after graduating from the prestigious apprenticeship program at Jose Luis Salon in downtown Austin. In 2003, she traveled to the Bumble & Bumble Academy in New York City, where she refined her skills in Long Layering, complex razor techniques, and her understanding of the “Bob.” A few years later, Jessica studied the Art of Color at the L’Oreal Professional Academy in Soho, New York. Additionally, she gained experience in Balyage lightening and Complex color patterns under instructors from Montreal. Jessica has amassed over ten years of education and experience in Goldwell Color, and in more recent years has added professional training in Wella Color. Although she enjoys working with all hair types, Jessica loves working with curly hair, as she has learned to master styling her own. She espouses Oribe’s joy of the “Art in creating!” and has displayed her artistry on a variety of models, specializing in Weddings, Proms, and Social Events.
In addition to working on several Tribeza fashion shows, Jessica’s work has been featured in Austin Wedding Guide and Modern Salon Magazine. In 2010, she attended the Artist Session in New York City, where she styled hair on a shoot with the renowned photographer Roberto Ligresti. Most recently, Jessica attended Intercoiffure-Mondial Atelier in New York, where she learned cutting-edge trends and techniques. Throughout these experiences, Jessica has heightened her precision, skill, and attention to trends in the fashion of hair.
On a more personal level, Jessica has a deep commitment to philanthropy, volunteering her services for local charities and staying involved in community outreach programs. She is passionate about giving back and actively being the change she wishes to extend to society. After ten years of being a vital member of the Jose Luis team, Jessica now contributes her talents to Red Stella, where she serves as the Education Director, while creating art through her individual “brand” of hair-dressing.
