Nothing can disrupt your beautiful complexion like the appearance of blackheads. Having blackheads does not mean you are dirty or don’t have a clean face, as blackheads are not dirt.
Blackheads are dead skin cells and oil that have been trapped in the pore and the reason they’re black is because they have been oxidized.
Here is how NOT to get rid of blackheads:
There is no reason for you to scrub away at blackheads with harsh gritty scrubs, considering they are not dirt. Put down the scrub as they will just cause the skin to become irritating causing redness and broken vessels.
A pore strip is only a temporary fix that removes the blackhead by pulling it out of the pore, but it will not keep it away. Actually it just leaves a big welcoming hole for more bacteria, oil, and dead skin cell to collect, causing more blackheads.
Removing blackheads yourself is not recommended. You can buy blackhead removers, but it has been found they are more effective for removing whiteheads. If you want to have blackheads removed it would be best to have this done professionally.
How to REALLY get rid of blackheads:
Salicylic acid should be your best friend when it comes to ridding blackheads for good. Salicylic acid will make way down into the pore breaking down clogging from within the skin.
Known as BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid), it works wonderfully at removing blackheads and over all congestion in the skin.
Glycolic acid can be a great skin care product even if you don’t have blackheads. It is an exfoliator, but it is liquid form and smooth. This means no hard scrubbing of your skin. Glycolic acid is and AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid).
Glycolic acid kills bacteria and dissolves dead skin cells that are on the surface of the skin. This helps to keep your skin clean and fresh which means there is less chance for dead skin cells to get trapped in your pore and cause blackheads.
Whether you have a lot of blackheads or just a few hopefully these skin care tips will help you to reduce the amount of blackhead you see in the future.
